Dinner with fellow Amel owners

Very elegant dinner aboard S/V Artehuse

There are 3 Amels docked at Karpaz Gate Marina since last summer -- ourselves, another Super Maramu S/V Excalibur owned by Jorge and Isabella from Chile, and an Amel 54 S/V Arethuse owned by Mario and Paola from Italy/Germany.  Mario and Paola invited the other 4 of us over for dinner recently.

And what a dinner it was!  Very elegant.  With crystal wine glasses and beautiful china and real table linens.  Much fancier than the typical yachtie get-together. 


Being Italian, both Paola and Mario are gourmets.  Everything was superb.  And each of us managed to utilize all 3 of the wine glasses at our place settings during the course of the evening.  The traditional Italian style fish with potatoes was exceptionally delicious.
